In a true free enterprise system you'd be right Scott. Problem is that there's a limited amount of AM frequencies in any area and it seems the one side has them all bottled up and are willing to give up the profit potential for the lock on power. Also, it's not like you can just build a new transmitter and start broadcasting.
Commie libs hardly represented the station view Scott - at least the local hosts. Actually, you'd have probably agreed with a few of them on their views. The more radical left hosts were affiliated with Air America which was simply contracting with the station for air time. As I said before I'm not lamenting the loss of Air America as much as the loss of the local commentary which bordered more on libertarian than democrat. If I want Air America I can simply buy XM radio.

- A bit pissed today
- Pissed as in "avin' a few pints o' tha bitters down a' tha local", pissed? (n/t)
- For God's sake, don't anyone tell him about Air America and New York. (n/t)
- Sounds like a great way to make money
- Awwwwww. The commie libs sold out to the rich Christians...
- Heh, heh.
- Is that last part a threat?
- The threat right now is rhetorical
- Typical: "competition" = "crushed by money"
- Then again, I could be wrong about nobody going "Billy Jack."
- Don't let it get you down
