I had the 'pleasure' of listening to Limbaugh- He was ranting on and on about how more people died by drowning in that time... (BTW didn't Katrina add nicely to that number?) and how FAR more people died in car accidents.... I noticed how he was ignoring the Iraqi death toll, but lets put that aside for a moment...
This is truly a sick argument- applying this argument one could make it sound like september 11th was no big deal... since the number of heart disease deaths per week is FAR higher... It is stupid reasoning- it is an attempt to distract with numbers... it is immoral and dishonest...
The soldiers that died over there because they were ordered to fight in a pre-emptive war... a war justified by faulty intelligence or out right lies (take your pick). The Iraqi civilians that died died because they were in the way of this war that the administration WANTED.... And was willing to accept any intelligence, no matter how flawed, to get it...
That is what matters Tom....

- While you're crunching numbers don't forget to add in the injured.
- Don't bother Tom.

- "Personally, the number is 1."
- Surely you've heard of Pyrrhic victories?
- It was a fair question
- Wait wait wait...hold on there.
- If that strawman was any bigger, I could take it to the Burning Man festival.
- For Tom the loss of life and wealth is not the issue...
- re: For R.L. and others the war is not the issue...
- "The Iraqi civilian dead over the past three years is STILL far less than the average killed annually by Saddam over his regime, "
- WHAT BS
- does that annual average include the Iraq-Iran war and the gassing of the Kurds? (n/t)
- Nice try, but I can see the boilerplate response a mile away. (n/t)

- Really? How?
- "Personally, the number is 1."
- It shows that our strategy is faulted.
