Is there a number of deaths at which you would begin to object to our activities in Iraq - or is any 'price' worth paying in your book?
Personally, the number is 1.
I wonder where your number is. You must have one. It's between the current number of troop deaths, and the current number of troops in the US and UK armed forces. Somewhere lies a figure at which you would go "hmm - perhaps this wasnt the right thing to do, perhaps we could have done this better". Without reference to a political blog, without making some diversion - what is that figure. Either it exists, or you would be happy for each and every soldier in the US and UK armed forces to die for this 'freedom' for which they fight. What is it Tom, another 1,000, another 5,000, 10,000, 100,000, more? At some point even the strongest supporter of this 'war' would have to say enough is enough. Where's your limit? When would YOU blink, or are you such a supporter of this administration that there's matches under your eyes so you couldnt blink even if you wanted to.
I remained shocked and stunned that an otherwise intelligent person such as yourself remains convinced that the current administration can seemingly do no wrong. I find it genuinely disturbing.

- While you're crunching numbers don't forget to add in the injured.

- Surely you've heard of Pyrrhic victories?
- It was a fair question
- Wait wait wait...hold on there.
- If that strawman was any bigger, I could take it to the Burning Man festival.
- For Tom the loss of life and wealth is not the issue...
- re: For R.L. and others the war is not the issue...
- "The Iraqi civilian dead over the past three years is STILL far less than the average killed annually by Saddam over his regime, "
- WHAT BS
- does that annual average include the Iraq-Iran war and the gassing of the Kurds? (n/t)
- Nice try, but I can see the boilerplate response a mile away. (n/t)

- "Personally, the number is 1."
- It shows that our strategy is faulted.
