re: Not a perpetual motion machine. There is energy input to get the carbon from the CO2

Sorry, I am not explaining this well. I am talking about coming up with an alternative to gasoline to run our cars. I am not talking about trying to get more energy out of something than we put in it.

Whatever we use to run our cars, it will take energy to get it to its final form. Be it oil, hydrogen, or something else. Refining oil into gasoline take lots of energy, more than what we get out of it when we burn it in our cars. Why not use this energy to create hydrogen from water.

And with water, you do not have to waste energy finding it, drilling for it, and hauling it halfway across the world.

I think we’ll find it more energy efficient to split water for it hydrogen, than to keep using oil.
