That's because it's a stupid question, and has been the whole time.

There isn't going to be a permanent Republican majority unless the Democrats keep moving toward socialism, and in that case some third party will eventually come into it.

You've wasted about twenty pages trying to dismiss the historical fact of Democratic domination of politics for many years, as though that was harmless. You blew off your complete lack of concern at the Democratic monolith of 1992 through 1994. Maybe you'd like to go along with alcaray, and try to tell us that Democrats were sweet and kind back then, cheerfully sharing power with Republicans. Cripes, I was there.

If the Democrats take back the House and Senate, and a Democrat wins in 2008, I think I could be forgiven for being a bit skeptical that you and other Democrats here are going to be mounting the barricades demanding more Republicans to balance things out.

How did you feel about the political balance in California before Arnold was elected? Did you vote for Arnold to balance things out?

You use one stupid book as "evidence" of approaching dictatorship. What did you think of Carville and Begala's "Take It Back?"

The "fall of democracy" crap can get people like Lindy running around in circles. I don't know who else you're trying to convince.
