"Dixie" beats "The Battle Hymn of the Republic".
For pure indoctrinational purposes.
The rewritten lyrics of the Battle Hymn were better than those for Dixie... which, sadly, I can't remember all of or find. The Battle Hymn reflects the violence of the original, but the child's parody of Dixie that sits teetering on the edge of my memory was a weak sister that refers to faults in personal hygiene ("I wish I was in the land of cotton! [Something something something] and teeth were rotten").
