I have only a couple of small "devil's advocate" points:
--unions are not evil in and of themselves. There is nothing in a free market that says workers can't voluntarily combine their bargaining skills to get a better deal. As with many other things, though, the idea far outran its original mission in later years.
--There is a lot of potential for abuse with private business using the power of government toward its own ends, directing taxpayer money to itself and its goals (not the same as tax cuts), using legislation to ensure monopoly status, and creating a regulatory environment that shields them from market forces. This kind of thing should not be overlooked--businesses are not universally pure any more than government, restricted to its proper functions, is universally evil.
