The Russians opposed the war in Iraq and rightfully so. Russian actions in Chechnya (a part of Russia, by the way, not a foreign country) are simply an excuse used by the Islamic lunatics to justify their mad jihad against infidels. It could just as well have been nothing more than silly cartoons or a novel that triggered the muslim violence. Just ask Denmark or Salman Rushdie.
The real problem with Islam is NOT that a peaceful religion has been highjacked by a band of extremists. The real problem is that too many Muslims are doing exactly what the Koran tells them to do - kill infidels and take over the entire world for Islam.
Until there occurs a radical reform within Islam and a great shift away from the literal reading of the Koran to more modern interpretations, the Islamic world will be and remain in conflict with many different nations and peoples of the modern, civilized world. Unfortunately, many Muslims, including Al Queda of course, claim that the Koran can't be reinterpreted, and that every violent phrase of that ancient blood-soaked book must be taken literally.
