The problem with this view is that many enlightened people are muslim- and the source of their enlightenment is the Koran. The problem is that many Muslims are not doing exactly what the Koran tells them to do.

Memorizing a cookbook doesn't make you a chef. Wearing a chef hat and pretending you are chef, doesn't make you a chef. But you can fool a lot people into thinking you are a chef- and you fool yourself.
White man pretends he is an indian. Newspaper pretends it only prints what's fit to print. It's all around you and it's just as bad [or worse] in the middle east.
