I have a rule...

..I don't meet with anybody I know online. Do you know how many crazies are out there? ;-) There's a reason most internet hook-ups eventually involve the police or a moving van.

I've given my name out to very few people online and already its spread to folks I haven't given it to - which just re-enforces my rule about meeting and identity. As a result of my carelessness, I may even have to cultivate a new nom de plume.
