Just clearing the air. Before that back channel gets overheated, and Robert comes out to prevail upon me to take it easy on you. Again.
Last time Robert, for whom I have a great deal of admiration, protested my lampooning you as a Moderator. I agreed to do that. And I believe I lived up to my part of the agreement even after a Moderator's "backhanded insult" seemed to violate whatever truce there may have been.
I ignored your post as a Moderator on CE about "backhanded insults", even though I sensed it was directed at me. (If gbaikie isn't in school, from the tone and content of his posts I'd guess he should be, by the way. First time I suggested it I legitimately thought he was high-school age.) My aside about gbaikie was unnecessary, was intended to be a bit derogatory, and demonstrated a lack of class on my part. I realize from his posts he has less than total admiration for my views, by the way.
So, I smiled, chuckled at your indignation over a very mild comment, and went on.
When you continued on Flame as FrankC, not Moderator, with a typical piece of wordy rambling trying to seem philosophical while in reality continuing the flame of me, I resisted for an ENTIRE day calling you on what seems to me to be typical fatuous FrankC hypocrisy. Especially ridiculous in light of your ignoring a post which was a direct insult with no other content. Of course, that post was directed at me and I can understand why that slipped by.
So now your ridiculousness as a person has been pointed out, commented upon, and documented. Those comments I have made about FrankC (Moderator) have been made in response to comments, thinly disguised and reluctantly acknowledged, about me.
The damage you've done here is all to you AND BY YOU. I just pointed it out, and I'm done. I really don't want to have Robert have to come back and defend your (sorry) self. If he thinks he does, then fine. After all, you ARE his.
I'm going back to whatever I was doing, and you can get back to Moderating.
