I was in a car at night. The object seemed to be a long, skinny, flat cigar shape of a yellowish/greenish white, and with a point of red light on it. It was moving rapidly across our field of view from the front of the car and disappeared behind some hills to the right, within 6 or 8 seconds. It did not look like an aircraft to me.
I yelled for my mom (driving) to see it and she said "Wow!". Later we talked about it and our perception of the object was similar, though I got a longer and more thorough look at it than she did.
Now these are all facts and I would stake my life on their accuracy.
If I were to have a belief in little green men based on this observation, then that would make me gullible, I think. I do not know what I saw. But just because it did not look like an aircraft to me does not mean that it was not one. People really should not necessarily believe their eyes. They often misinform us.
I don't know what I saw that night.
Remind me to tell you the story of when I saw the Easter Bunny, some time.
