It's the awareness that hate begets NOTHING but more hate.
That violence begets NOTHING but more violence.
The idea that one can kill their way to peace is that of children. Adults know that it's a spiritual law that one "reaps what they sow".
As the man said, chopping up starfish begets more starfish.
One CANNOT avenge innocent deaths by killing innocent people. One only begets more violence.
The Bush Administration actions guarantee hatred of America for generations to come in areas of the world where we could have hoped for neutrality.
For instance, Iraq. Iraq was NOT responsible for WTC, Iraq did NOT have WMDs, and while Saddam's brutalities are inexcusable, they were done in the name of holding the country together, EXACTLY as are Bush's brutalities.
