Is there really someone who thinks we should go about trying to talk terrorists out of doing what they do? Can you show me an example of someone making that argument, so I know what you are talking about?
What we need to do instead is show the majority of Palestinians, and Lebanese, and Iraqis, and etc. that we are the good guys. That we have their best interests at heart. That we have no desire to oppress them. That we desire and promote their development. That we want them to worship as they choose. That we do not want to take over their countries. That we do not want to confiscate their resources.
If we do that, then whatever terrorists are left are just international criminals to hunt down.
