I bought my 3 acre lot from a couple of brothers, they were cool, ........builders who owned and developed the whole ridge. (I'm living in one of their new rentals now). They transferred the Home Owners Association to the two home owners who built up there and they held a new vote for the other owners by mail (in absentia) a few months ago, so I voted for the two people already up there. I didn't know the guy I voted for was a power tripper. The lax codes from the previous owners that would have made building my Deltec easier were all made null and void by this new guy. Because he's a builder himself, I had been talking to him over the phone about putting in my foundation. I think it was he who possibly took out my beautiful fir tree when I explicitly said it would have to stay. Probably to make it easier on himself. We had no estimate, no contract, or financial transaction. Another home owner up there who used him for his foundation already has sued him and refuses to go to the HOA meetings and is thinking of putting his place up for sale. Might go visit him this weekend to get the scoop.

I'll wait until I'm rested and feisty enough before I take on the President of the HOA. Gotta find out WHO cut the tree down. I mean, who does he think he is? Captain of the Ridge Preservation Society now?
