I went to visit my new neighbours who built up on the ridge this afternoon. They get their Certificate of Occupancy this coming Monday.
Then they'll have their electric and water on in their 2200 sq.ft. log home. They are about 250 yards from my lot and maybe a couple of hundred feet higher. And their view was breath-taking! They had "topped" some of the trees for a cut-away view. I counted ten ridges past the sweeping view of the valley AND I got all the inside scoop on what's happening up there. The lots have doubled this past year.

And I'm still thinking of building up there MAYBE but I can see I'll have to jump through numerous financial hoops to get there. Took them a bottle of wine and three real wine glasses. It was their first celebration.
We're discussing a pasta dinner in two weeks.
Walked my lot and dreamed again.
Think I'll take a machete up there and clear some small scrub that's grown up since last year. This could get a lot better.
