Learn to see things backwards, inside out, upside down.....
Water wears away rock; Spirit overcomes force; The weak will undo the mighty. And alway remember to not urinate with a strong wind in your face.
The Golden Rule is truly a philosophical principle of great power, but it implies knowing what is good for you. Defining the "good" is probably more difficult than doing what you understand as the right thing. So I think the edge goes to Socrates in that doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do implies positive action on the part of the individual and obviates all the fuzzy concepts of the good, ie. whose good, the good for whom, the greater good, et al.
