Addendum: Read the IF Stone NYT interview

Socrates is a lot like Jesus, he was martyred for the truth but all his chroniclers had their own agendas. What happened to both of them is lost forever in the fog, but the effect is still with us today.

I don't really know if history was re-written in the Socrates case, it happened too long ago; but as always, there's more to this story than meets the eye, and revisting the scene will have lessons for the present.
