Democrats still wear moral indignation about as well as a tortoise wears a tuxedo. Right now they're in the phase where the story isn't really going in the direction they want it to any more, and hope if they shriek loudly enough, nobody notices.
The actual interview can be heard here.
The Edmund IM messages are indeed looking like they were part of a prank, and passed around to other pages. This makes sense, since it would explain how the messages easily got into the hands of others.
You can be as indignant as you want, but it goes without saying that it takes two to hold an IM conversation, and that a 17-year-old is not exactly a child. I'm still waiting to see a set of IM contacts Foley made consisting solely of him harrassing someone without a response.
ABC news is fishing for more evidence beyond the Edmund posts, and has three more pages, but no further messages. More information on original sources and timing is coming out.
Names to watch for: Conyers, Katsaros.
Wait until Monday, when things really start to hit the fan.
