So I hope you'll forgive me for not discussing the red herring of what's the matter with Democrats.

That specific thing that someone said made the direct implication that the content of Foley's email (did he mean IM?) was because of encouragement from the receiver(s) of the email/IM. Even if it was, does that excuse what was in Foley's communication? In any way whatsoever????

What if it wasn't some kid on loan to the HoR? What if it wasn't a group of kids on loan pretending to be one kid on loan? What if instead it was the FBI or DC police doing a sting?

You should be more careful of what kind of behavior you defend. (Note that this comment is also about something specific that specifically someone said.)
