I know who was backing Hoyer, and I know who was backing Murtha, and I know what the various agendas were. Whether Hoyer is less nutty remains to be seen, but he'd almost have to be.

As far as symbolism goes, the GOP also laid some on us when they put Lott back into a position of power. Believe me, that was not a good sign for those of us hoping for the return of 1994 Republicanism.
