Just out of curiosity

I heard this morning that a new poll shows public approval for Bush's Iraq policy has fallen yet again to a new low, 31%. Does your statement that

I fully expect Bush to continue fighting against our defeat in this war, including continuing the intelligence methods that have worked so far

signal that you're a member of that diehard 31%? Do you consider "stay the course" to be an actual strategy?

Or are you just engaging in some partisan chain-yanking for sport?

"Bipartisan" is not defined as "doing everything the Democrats want."

And nobody but Republicans think so, which is an ironically partisan position. The definition of bipartisanship after this last election is to carry out the people's will, as expressed by an election that signals adamant opposition to Bush's war policy. Democrats will be engaging in bipartisanship if they oppose Bush, because that's what the people elected them to do. It's only more partisanship to try and spin carrying out the will of the people as somehow partisan on the part of Democrats. The only partisan thing they can do is to ignore their mission and try to pursue their own agenda. If so, you can indeed expect me to even-handedly criticize them. But I definitely expect them to achieve a change in course, and in that I have 69% of the American people on my side.
