Not a bad balance.
I'd be interested in knowing which radio show you listen to. Is it local?
I get almost all my news from the internet, including mainstream news sites. The trick is being careful about sources, and not letting a single source or a few small sources take over. Whenever possible, I try to track news down to primary sources, like science papers, surveys, or other basic data.
I do read my local newspaper, mostly to cover local issues, but also because this paper, although quite liberal, is very good about explaining news stories and excels in their use of graphics and presentations. I would give a lot if some of their charts and other visuals were online so I could post them here.
