"Everyone from the scientific community and the media have been telling us that Carbon Dioxide is the main cause, but is it? If anyone is to buy into the 'gas' thing, it does not just come down to Carbon Dioxide... good grief, we expell Carbon Dioxide when we exhale! Then it would not just be a human cause, but every breathing animal on Earth."
Breathing animals don't make as much CO2 as termites and other insects. And microbial life would be much more significant than breathing animals and insects.
The whole rationale of CO2 is it was an attempt to explain the causes of Ice ages and warming periods. It FAILED. But like a chicken with it's head cut off it's still running around.
The reasons for Ice ages and warming periods is still not known. The Sun probably has a large part in the explanation. The movement of continents is also a factor- which btw is relatively new scientifically accepted idea. Impacts and their affects upon earth is even newer accepted idea- as far as I know no comprehension attempt to factor in large global climate has been made in regard to impactors. And the lastest idea which *could be * factor is the galactic environment in which this solar system moves through. All of the above may be pieces to this puzzle and some them may be related- such galactic environment and the Sun's activity. A wilder yet, impactors and plate movement.
But as far as human activity the elephant in the room is the urban heat island affect.
