Far too often here the argument is "you are wrong because your politics are incorrect." This used to be a common thing in the types of countries that featured re-education camps.
My contention, to try and keep it as straightforward as possible, is that a lot of the "spin" is happening in that report. For many years now, with scientific work being funded largely by political entities, the system has been slowly selecting scientific work and scientists to push a particular viewpoint.
"Peer review" is, by definition, a circular process.
There is a specific, anti-Western, anti-capitalist, and particularly anti-American agenda behind all this climate change hysteria, which should have become painfully obvious during the original creation of the Kyoto Accords.
This report is just the first shoe dropping. The "solutions" are coming. And every last one of them will involve turning over more of our freedoms, sovereignity, and choices to an all-powerful centralized authority. The U.N. has been more than eager to take that role for a long time now, and they're the ones underwriting all this. But I suppose we'll have to wait for it.
