Something's not right.
Yes!
Anyone of us, with a few hundred or a few thousand dollars to spare,
and with suffient electrical/mechanical inclination and skill,
can make a simple Casimir Effect experimental apparatus.
Yet!...With all the optimistic forecasts made for hypothetically large scale quantum [zero-point?] energy generation by the Casimir Effect, seeming to indicate that it would do away with the need for oil, coal, uranium, solar-energy, etc, one would think billions of dollars would be invested by governments
or corporations into research in this so-called 'promising' field?
But it isn't like that at all.
Something doesn't add up.
