Interesting bit of news.
For quite some time I've held the belief that the difference between gravity and electromagnetic attraction exists solely in the precise properties of the wave forms they attract and indeed would be fundamental components of field mechanics. Gravity would be a generalized field influence on all wave form components of matter and what we identify as electromagnetic field attraction would be more specifically attenuated field influences due to the added attraction of polarized wave groupings having a "magnifying" effect on either attraction or resistance.
The likely reason why temperature increases the attraction is because of frequency. If the glass is heated, its waves start oscillating faster and increasing the field strength generated by the glass and its component atoms.
So heat would increase field size and exert a pull on nearby objects while cold decreases field size. In superconductivity we see much the same thing, a reduction of electrical resistance, and this is due to the fields having less impact or "pull" on the current. Cold=energy depletion from the wave field/system - Heat=energy insertion into the wave field/system.

- Something's not right.
- There's more to electricity than meets the eye. Photons, too. (n/t)
- Thanks SDF
- It's a stretch,
- Do the electrons of an Atom truly “circle†the atom’s nucleus? If so, aren’t they then in perpetual motion?
- Not really
- re: note that if true, we could then define Energy, Mass, and gravity all in one equation!
- The formula would look something like:
- Do the electrons of an Atom truly “circle†the atom’s nucleus? If so, aren’t they then in perpetual motion?
- I doubt gravity is in any way electrical.
- Gravity
- I think gravity is to weak a force to be THE force that holds or creates or "makes rigid" matter from energy.

- Not in the sense that most people think of electricity
