re: If you don't argue...you can't lose.

After enough lifetimes of bearing crosses and holding grudges, one realizes it gets one nowhere and creates millstones one must wear in the future.

Islamists are figures that inspire pathos not anger. Ignorance, willful or cultured, always is a pathetic sight. I hold no fury for Islamists, suicide bombers or the folks who kill their raped daughters. Part of this stems from the understanding of what they will no undergo as a result of their ignorance. Watching someone slice their wrists is not an angering experience so much as witnessing something shockingly and horrifyingly stupid.

My emotion ramps up proportionate to my expectations of intelligence. If someone who has received an education in the west and returns to barbarism it triggers a much stronger bias within me. Some child who has been raised by illiterate women, coached by a jihadist since he was 6 and taught that martyrdom or murder are noble goals can be expected to behave ignorantly - and, in fact, would be a statistical anomaly if they did suddenly behave like they had a western conscience or a developed sense of compassion.

If you want to resolve the issue with your daughter, the mirror principle is the best method. Once she realizes that whatever she strongly dislikes about you is within her - and vice-versa you two should be able to resolve the matter. ;-) It won't be easy, but self-reflection and correction is the hardest lesson to master.

People who are idiots or a--es, need compassion not hatred or anger. They are at a certain level and are the way they are because they have not yet climbed the next rung of the evolutionary ladder. Looking down on someone who is five rungs below one is ridiculous because there will always be someone five rungs above one as well.

I'm quite aware my style of posting is often perceived as condescending. Like a religionist espousing their own creed, it is bound to appear self-aggrandizing, to some, as well. However, to put it into perspective again - let me reiterate it for the record - I am no better than anyone, anywhere. We all are different, unique and thereby, infinitely diverse. My own travels have built up my own structures, knowledge and belief. The same is true for everyone here. Infinity is universal - and it manifests in countless similar structures with disparities.

Everyone will eventually evolve past the emotional grappling of constant confrontation and learn to communicate more effectively and intuitively. When this day arrives, the world will be much older...and humanity will be much wiser.

;-)
