You may recall, I first posted about this when it was raised in congressional session.

Harriet Miers? The same one who was to be a justice on the Supreme Court? Dear God!

Now, I'm sure TB will regale us with a tale of why this is no big deal, move along, nothing to see here. But this is an end-run around the constitutional seperation of power Using the provisions of the partiot act, entirely unethical, and seems to go pretty far up the executive branch.

For those of you who routinely argue: 'well who has lost constitutional rights via the abuse of the partiot act': Here is your answer. By subverting the federal justice system, the defined role of congress and all notions of ethical use of power- All of us have been harmed by abuse of power and 'crafty use' of the patriot act.

This is a problem, folks, regardless of your political affiliation- if you don't find issue with this, then you need to cash in your individual rights and never bother us with pithy arguments about the rights of the individual or the dangers of 'Big Government'
