Read my post to Tony below quoting the emails... heck- here it is AGAIN...

Excerpt from an email on Jan. 9, 2006- From Sampson, to Miers:

In recent memory, during the Reagan and Clinton Administrations, Presidents Reagan and Clinton _did not_ seek to remove and replace U.S. Attorneys they had appointed whose four-year terms had expired, but instead permitted such U.S. Attorneys to serve indefinitely under the holdover provision.

The underlining of "did not" is HIS not mine....

So the "they all do it" argument will not fly, and they knew it...
