What's your point? A president can legitimately replace a U.S. attorney for his hair color. Look up the statute. And of COURSE political leanings are part of it. They always have been.

If there's an issue here, it's about Justice Department failure to properly inform Congress on this.

What difference would it make to you or anyone else if I rended my garments and joined in with the mob declaring this to be the greatest crime ever?

You really think this is about honest Democratic moral indignation, instead of just one more part of the vendetta against the Bush administration? This is where the hypocrisy comes in. Keep it in mind when Hillary is the candidate in a year or so.

But by all means, rave on. Lord knows I don't hear enough of this on a dozen other boards.

If Gonzales stood up in front of the press, stuck a shotgun into his mouth, and blew the back of his head into the next room, the Democrats and their media buttmonkeys would move smoothly on to the next one. Heck, they're still trying to haul Rove in.

I wish the Democrats thought we had any enemies on this planet other than Bush.
