The THEL is very nearly operational.

Its turret is the size of a phalanx turret, and its other equipment can fit into two semi-trailers worth of space. The size could be squeezed down further in an operational system. They hope to get it small enough to fit onto a HUMVEE within a few years. The official range is said to be 5 miles, but it's probably further.
