Don't forget electromagnetic weapons.
I've been following a LOT of work they're doing in the military to "buff up" solid-state radar tech into microwave weaponry.
Anything that has the brains to dodge a weapon under rocket boost has brains enough to be fried. And the tech is easier to carry on a plane than a laser.
Remember, under initial subsonic boost, almost any conventional air-to-air missile could probably take the Sizzler down.
And believe me, if we're thinking of all this, so is the Navy.
