I think they should all do it.
It's pretty foolish, like going "camping" in a RV, but they should consider it an education.
Of course if they were really serious, they but sell their house, and give all their money to the govt- but it's a nice little hobby instead. Sort of like wearing a blindfold to get an idea of being blind.
