PS "Consumer Reports"
It would be a crime to discuss this and to omit mentioning the birth of the ultra-leftist "consumer reports" during this period. Not "customer reports" consumer reports. That spoke volumes and for decades they have existed, as a communist fifth column, to dissuade large customer purchases in the US. Over the years reading their descriptions of anything, much less a large car or expensive item has been sheer entertainment, an insight straight into the world of communist, anti-western, anti-industrial propaganda. And that they have become a staple of marketing, and grown over the decades into a part of US marketing culture is also telling statement about the success of propaganda.
