You have no information except that there are shots fired at the school. And you are faced with a load of kids, guns drawn, apparently charging you.

What are you going to do?

You have to be aware that if a policeman stopped your car now he would not assume your wife and kids were armed. He would if guns were widespread, and he'd treat you and your family accordingly.
