My Great Grandfather came from Baden Baden

REB — 4/20/2007 2:08:56 PM (archived)

He came to America fromBaden Baden as a youngster in 1865. His son, my grandfather, fought against German, for America, in WWI. I wonder what his thoughts were as he sat in the trenches in Germany, knowing he might be shooting at some of his relatives, or that he was fighting his father’s land.

My German side is always fighting my Italian side. The tiny bit of Native American in me tries to calm them but the small Irish part of me likes to stir it back up. :)
