No one can be happy about any aspect of this mess. To believe that anyone is gloating over such a tremendous failure is contemptible. It says a lot about the person who thinks gloating is an option.
There's just too much suffering going on. I read that 2,000,000 Iraqis have fled Bush's Paradise, including many of the professionals. Who were doing fine, by the way, under Saddam.
Lived in "mixed" neighborhoods, that sort of thing.
Saddam was a tyrant, a brutal bastard, and achieved order for those who didn't resist the order.
Bush is a tyrant, a brutal bastard, without the saving grace of having achieved order, and is killing anyone who resists his idea of "order".
And the US has worked over Iraq for years, causing untold suffering for common people since the Gulf War. The sanctions didn't affect Saddam, weren't intended to. They affected the people for whom Conservatives now profess such concern.
