Makes sense, but I know a few daring pilots who retired around age 65, from flying test planes or aerobatics. Having worked out an airport for several years, I got to know quite a few as friends and even got to fly in many different planes. My favorites were the aerobatic planes.
By the book daredevils. The most excitement you can have with your clothes on.
