If Albert Einstein came back from the dead...

... and said he had evidence of alien life, the scientific community would
demand evidence from him, just as they would anyone else. So why do
you think asking you for the same should be any different? What you
keep showing us has yet to be anything taken as real evidence. And
your credulousness about anyone who says something that goes against
the mainstream doesn't help. Mr. Anderton is a prime example here -
and I've noted he hasn't said anything else since. Where's his evidence?

Remember the Mars meteorite ALH84001? In 1996 some scientists claimed
it contained fossil life from the Red Planet. The science community did not
go "Oh, fellow scientists said this, so it MUST be true!". They have been
analysing and debating the evidence ever since.

That doesn't make for an exciting let's wrap it up in 52 minutes TV episode,
but that is how it works. And that is how we will know if there really is
life elsewhere, not from someone or anyone demanding they have the
answers and they better be believed, and whoever doesn't buy into it
cause they said so is narrow minded or a government agent or some
other such nonsense.
