An astounding coincidence!

My daughter just had a show on the Discovery channel about crop circles (called Crop Circles). I saw bits and pieces of it. The main part of the show was a challenge to a team of 3 MIT students to make a crop circle in a night.

- They did a good job of creating those swollen-elbows-in-the-wheat-stalk thingies.

- They did a good job of scattering a mess of tiny iron spheres about the area.

- They did *not* do a good job of making the area radioactive.

- When the graduate students who analyzed the area flew over in a helicopter, the helo mysteriously lost power! While they autorotated down to a ground effect landing away from the crop circle, the helo mysteriously regained power and they continued their observations.

Good show! When it was done I told my daughter that I was having a running debate on HZ with a really nice lady on this very topic. I added, "Though she probably thinks I'm the devil". My daughter said, "Well, she's right about that much."
