Okay, I was forced to watch this crap this weekend and I have to tell you I put this post in Flame because I'm about to do something that I don't normally do in life - gay bash.
Did any straight male Disney executive (I'm assuming there is one) actually watch the choreography in that movie and not have their skin crawl? Every time one of the male cast members had to do a dance move, they made everyone in the room I was in cringe or laugh out loud and it was a mixed and mostly liberal crowd.
I'm sorry, but I prefer there to be a differentiation between the moves that the females do and their male partners. It's certainly assumed that within the dance community many of the male participants are gay or at least effeminate but most performances at least have them doing some masculine moves to balance out the view. I don't remember seeing one dance step that showed any signs of testosterone in any of the male actors.
They could not have paid me enough money to have that stain on my young career had I ever had that opportunity. If somehow the male lead of that show actually does continue on in the business, he now can look forward to going on some future talk show with the surprise clip the host dug up of him jumping into a flying gazelle leap across the golf course.
Walt must be rolling in his grave again.
