Only in a film would Gene get the sailors to dance with him here.
In real life they'd probably beat him to a pulp, a few might take him to a motel. ;-)
Let's face it, Art, if Gene danced that way out here he'd get pasted one pretty quickly, or some redneck might try and drive him over with their truck.
I saw precisely 25 seconds of HSM II and those 25 seconds were as bad as you say it was. In those 25 seconds I noted that the lead male looked like his eyebrows were dyed, he had a PC multicultural looking girlfriend and then I changed the channel. My points still stand; Hollywood is very effete and they market a certain amount of gender-blending (and now race-blending as well) to teens because it is less threatening and is supposed to make everyone feel comfortable. (Or at least their target demographic)
Mr. Rogers? Bozo the clown was more masculine. Most cartoons and shows for kids intentionally "demasculinize" male characters. It may be worse nowadays, but only because it has been $ucce$$ful and there is also a larger market for it.
