A macho Mr. Rogers?
His series was aimed at little kids. He was a genuinely nice guy who
tried to bring quality to children's programming instead of the sea of
dreck we have today.
What did you want him to do, skin a buck while smoking a cigar
in his SUV for the 4 year olds?
There's being a man, then there's going too far. Funny how so many
males are threatened by any man who shows even a hint of their
female sides.
Note how in Brokeback Mountain, no matter how much in love the
two male leads were, they were as manly as a man could get. Not
exactly Hollywood feminizing, I would say.
The human species is still just an animal. A few toys don't make
us above the rest.
