Companies grow for a reason.
The company is making a product. People like the product and buy it. People really like the product and tell their friends about it. Those friends buy it and tell their friends about it.
If the company doesn't grow, demand outstrips supply and the waiting time to purshase the product grows. This leads to customer complaints and bad press, and this could lead to a public backlash that can cause customers to shop elsewhere and the company to go under. The customer is always right, and if they want your product you had better be able to supply it to them in a timely manner. This requires growth. It's simple.
