By now, I think you'd realize that you can't fundamentally alter someone's worldview without receiving fierce resistance.
Imagine if you could? What sort of world would it be where after one great post a liberal turns conservative or a conservative becomes a liberal? That's right: Wishy-Washy Central.
No, the political beliefs of folks here, and elsewhere, are reinforced a thousand times a day with biases. Before you can get them to change their tune, they would need to have all these millions of biases, formed over many years, compensated for and addressed.
SO even if your post (or mine;-) makes perfect sense and explains all sorts of things they may have never known, it still will not make more than the tiniest dent in their viewpoint. It will either be challenged on some small point, ignored or dismissed in toto, just as we do with the thousands of liberal postings, emotional rants, dementia praecox, et al.
Tearing away a well-woven security blanket doesn't make you the most popular guy in town. Even if you think it's for their own good - each individual has their own path to travel.
Replace that frustration and condemnation with compassion and understanding of human nature.
;-)
