Primary colors

Well, Tom, there are primary colors in my spectrum because it's not monochrome. I can see the world in more than black-and-white the way you do.

I've never disputed that you have a surfeit of facts, the problem is that you lack understanding of them. Bush and Rummy and the gang had a huge pile of facts at their disposal, too, and saw them through the ideological filter of Conservatism...and the results speak for themselves.

Conservatism precludes understanding. Your posts railing against understanding demonstrate the point quite well.

Through the miracle of tape, Bill Clinton was on two of the Sunday talking head shows this morning simultaneously, so I forget on which he said it, but he observed that he likes Mike Huckabee of Arkansas because he's a rabid Conservative "but he's not mad at anybody about it."

Non-Conservatives see quite clearly that Conservatives are hagridden by the primal twins fear and anger, and it's why I have to take your angry logic with a grain of salt. You come across less like Socrates calmly declaiming in Athens than like a primate shrieking and hooting on the other side of the stream, flinging facts instead of feces. Here on the receiving end of the factes barrage, what I see isn't the broad spectrum of missiles that would result from unbiased selection, but rather, you choose your coprofacts for their sticky consistency and texture, and a bouquet pleasing to the Winger nose. Bonus points if, airborne, they form a pattern to which you can point and call it internal consistency.

I tease you about the bell jar full of formaldehyde because you are in fact extremely passionate about your beliefs. You needn't be ashamed of your emotions, and you might well be a happier person if you didn't try to dam them up behind walls of logic. The emotion leaks out anyway, you may as well come out of the closet and rejoin humanity.
