I noticed that right after I listed my old home in Florida. There were 8 homes just in my tiny neighbourhood when I left. I think it sold under a wing and a prayer. If I had just listed it 20% below market price, I could have saved myself 20 grand on realtors fees and mortgage payments.
Live and learn.
All the new construction up here in outlying areas has driven the taxes sky high and older residents and farmers are getting squeezed trying to hold on. The foreclosures for the smaller homes are just starting here now. Bad for the community, but good for the investors.
