Neither of you have a clue on this topic yet you are so damn damn sure you know 'the way it is'....

SO2 is sulfer dioxide, it can be produced when coal containing sulfer is burned. It does NOT make the 'rotten egg smell'. It can become, through reactions in the atmosphere, sulfuric acid- H2SO4 leading to acid rain.

The rotten egg smell is from H2S, hydrogen sulfide... and - contrary to the above post- it is highly toxic, with lethality beginning at ~300 parts per million.

But feel free to continue spewing your nonsense. It would be funny if the issue wasnt so serious.
