The energy issue goes way past global warming
We are being held hostage to nutballs all over the planet due to our complete inability to buckle down and develop existing domestic energy sources and technologies. Instead, our leadership either kicks the can down the road or ignores feasible near-term solutions in favor of pie-in-the-sky fantasies.
In the early 1970s, France got the same wake-up call we did during the oil crisis back then. They went nuclear. We went back to sleep.
